# Company Industry API Overview

> Industry classification, codes, keywords

The akta.pro Company Industry API returns the `industry` section of the akta.pro company record as a standalone endpoint. Pass a company website domain or UUID in the path and get back just the `industry` payload — no other sections, no sections parameter to configure.

This is a **synchronous GET API**. Pass the company in the URL path and receive the industry payload immediately in the HTTP response. No polling required.

**The fields included in every response:**

| Field              | What it contains                                         |
| ------------------ | -------------------------------------------------------- |
| `primary_industry` | Primary industry with code + label                       |
| `sub_industry`     | Sub-industry classifications                             |
| `naics_code`       | NAICS codes                                              |
| `sic_code`         | SIC codes                                                |
| `sector`           | Sector classification                                    |
| `keyword`          | Industry keywords                                        |
| `industry`         | Industry classifications with code + label + is\_primary |
| `product_category` | Product category                                         |

**Common use cases:**

* **Industry classification** : pull `industry` codes with `is_primary` flag for taxonomy-aware workflows
* **NAICS / SIC alignment** : pull `naics_code` and `sic_code` for matching against existing CRM taxonomies
* **Keyword-driven segmentation** : use `keyword` arrays to power tag-based filters
